We see about 80-90 patients a day at our Level II trauma center. Our patients are a mix of ED/trauma cases, mid acuity ED pts, psych patients and a small amount of low acuity. RNs will orient to all areas of the ED but will need to be in the department for a year to work in triage. In the ED teamwork is key and patients are spread among nurses based on volume and acuity. We all work together as a team to ensure patients get the highest quality care. Our department has a positive culture and expect positivity from all team members.
