Provides specialized cardiovascular care, while maintaining maximum patient safety and comfort. Performs/reviews a baseline patient assessment, and evaluates patient response to diagnostic cardiac procedures. Proficient in the operation and maintenance, as specified by the manufacturer, of all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment used for procedures in the specific area of operation.

The Acuity Adaptable Unit at Littleton Adventist Hospital is a telemetry unit with 24 beds, where the nurses
adapt to the patient's needs. We try to cohort our observation patients here who have chest pain, syncope,
cardiac rhythm problems, heart failure and care for complicated telemetry patients. The unit also has a
niche population of epilepsy monitoring patients who come in for a planned week-long stay to evaluate
their seizure activity which comes with high risk for cardiac arrhythmias. Our unit has been recognized for
our outstanding culture that emphasizes teamwork and respect amongst the associates and patients. Our
unit is very supportive and there are many opportunities for growth. We welcome candidates with positive
attitudes and an eagerness to grow.

Centura Health is looking for a nurse to join our CVICU team- Littleton Adventist will have cardiac surgery in 6-9 months.
We have 24 beds with an average daily census of 16 patients. Our patients consist of a mix of neuro surgical, DBS, traumas, strokes, general surgical, general medicine, IABP, CRRT, Impella, hypothermia after cardiac arrest, surgical phase II invasive EEG monitoring and more. The department’s mission is to provide care to our critically ill patients and support one another in a caring and nurturing environment. Our team is a small community, with a positive and caring culture of teamwork. There are opportunities to obtain certifications for Impella, CRRT and IABP and continuing education through Centura or seminars offered in the area. We look for candidates that are positive team players, are eager to learn, and are passionate about critical care nursing.
