Assists surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. Assists in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms.   The Surgery department at Porter Adventist Hospital has 21 Operating Room (OR) suites, including a hybrid suite. The OR specializes in total joint replacement, complex spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant, ophthalmic, DaVinci general and cardiac , orthopedic, and spine  robotics, ENT, and general surgery. Transplants include liver, living related kidney, and paired kidney exchanges. The OR does many high acuity, complex surgical cases. This position provides the opportunity to join a specialty surgical team which promotes a high level of expertise within each service line.   Schedule: Variable Shifts  - Three 12 hour shifts (Call Required) Qualified individuals will receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus to be paid in installments. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital is a six-bed unit. Nurses take care of challenging critical patients with varying diagnoses such as cancer, sepsis, and GI bleeds. The clinical teams treat ventilated patients with multiple drips on occasion. Telemetry monitoring is mandatory for all ICU patients. Occasionally, we have overflow orthopedic or oncology patients. Our mission in the ICU is to provide the best care possible to our patients while treating them with compassion and respect. The Intensive Care Unit at St. Francis Medical Center has 14 beds.  Our department’s specialty is Critical Care – to include Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), proning, and protocols for sepsis, stroke, hypothermia, mass transfusions and OB hemorrhage – to name just a few. We treat medical and surgical critically ill adult patients 18 years and older, Level III trauma patients 15 and older, OB emergency patients related to seizure and hemorrhage and we get overflow from Med/Surg related to capacity. The culture at SFMC is a small town feel with a big city skillset and a mixture of generations that makes for lively discussion and positive teamwork. We collaborate with ancillary departments at a daily patient rounding event and our teamwork is led by a group of readily approachable intensivists who offer education. We address errors by creating a culture that allows us to feel safe when addressing issues, education and keeping in mind patient care first.
