Our department is the main service line for our patients that need the care that a Level 1 Trauma Center Provides. Our typical patient diagnoses are motor vehicle accidents/motorcycle accidents, traumatic brain injuries, subdural hematomas, subarachnoid hemorrhages, spinal cord injuries, and spinal surgeries.   Patients are from all age groups (usually 16 years and above) with occasional overflow of general med/surg patients. We have a strong culture of teamwork where we pride ourselves on delivering high quality, safe patient care. Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.   This is a PRN position (5 shifts scheduled in a 6-week period). This position is used to cover call-offs, vacations, and where coverage may be needed. PRN is not eligible for benefits but does offer a 15% differential on top of the base rate of pay.

We are part of a small community hospital and fill the niche for step down and med/surg overflow with a variety of acuity patients on our floor, as well as cardiac cath recovery. Our patient mix includes those with pacemaker, stroke, heart attack, arrythmia and those with medication needs. The culture is one of prevalent kindness where we embrace new associates. Some exclusions may apply.   The OB Post-Partum department at St. Catherine Hospital consists of 12 LDRP, one triage, one OR suite, four pediatric rooms and seven open bay NICU Level II rooms. This consists of three different units: L&D, pediatrics and NICU. We treat pregnant women, pediatric patients from two to 17 days, 32 weeks gestational to 40 weeks for NICU. This department is desirable as it is a rural, main hub, where caregivers get to see and do almost anything. We are very hands-on when taking care of patients. Candidates are welcome who are flexible and passionate about patient care. Candidates must be willing to help in other departments depending on our census.
