Support the Charge Nurse and the surgical teams. Direct oversight of associates to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and nursing practice. Coach  the staff to build confidence and encourage professional growth. Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs/ practices for department associates. Model professionalism and leadership within the department. Accountable to the Manager and Director for surgical benchmarks such as turnover times and first case on time starts. Will have approx. 25 direct reports. Responsibilities may include conducting training for  Clinical Coordinators, Charge RNs, and staff members. Oversight of the staff schedule and call schedule. Might also be needed to fill occasional gaps in staffing. This position will also be eligible for the Clinical Ladder 21 OR Suites Approx. 600-700+ cases per month
