We have a large cardiac/cardiac surgery population (ex. Watchmen, CABG, MVR/AVR, AAA repair patients who may have chest tubes and external pacemakers) who transfer to the unit as early as post-op day one and stay through their hospitalization. We admit a variety of trauma patients and will also see strokes, TBIs, respiratory failure and medical patients. We have a great team who is fun and succeeds in a challenging environment.
