The typical patients that are cared for on our floor are heart failure, pre and post cardiac catheterization, abnormal arrythmias, vascular surgery and other cardiac patients.   Our mission is to provide the highest level of quality, patient-centered, safe care to all patients that come through our doors while also creating an atmosphere that is fun, exciting, and engaging to work in. Working on the 4th floor provides new graduate nurses an environment that is team focused, supportive and adaptive to the changes in health care. Our nurse communication scores have been some of the highest in the hospital. We are an innovative unit, often where hospital-wide projects take place.
