In collaboration with other management personnel in the laboratory matrix structure, develop and manage pre-analytic processes in the hospital laboratories, including specimen procurement, transport, processing and send outs. Develop and manage a set of corresponding metrics.
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Bachelor of Science degree with MLS/MT certification or equivalent experience
3-5 years hospital laboratory leadership experience preferred
Physical Requirements - Sedentary Work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert/lift up to 10 lbs. force occasionally)
Details: This position oversees Point of Care testing for Penrose, St. Francis, St. Mary-Corwin and St. Thomas More hospitals and CHPG clinics. Position requires travel, no overnight travel required however. This position serves as the liaison between lab and nursing for Point of Care testing, so strong communication skills are a must. This position also provides training for nursing personnel and regulatory oversite for POC testing. This is a self-directed position, so organization skills and follow-thru are important.
