The Emergency Department at Parker Adventist Hospital has 27 treatment spaces, four of which are low acuity or results pending and 4 are psych safe rooms and three are high acuity/trauma rooms. We see about 80-90 patients a day at our Level II trauma center. Our patients are a mix of ED/trauma cases, mid acuity ED pts, psych patients and a small amount of low acuity. RNs will orient to all areas of the ED but will need to be in the department for a year to work in triage. In the ED teamwork is key and pts are spread among nurses based on volume and acuity. We all work together as a team to ensure the pts get the highest quality care. Our department has a positive culture and expect positivity from all team members. We have a Unit Based Counsel that brings ideas and facilitates team-based projects to improve workflow and the environment. We look for candidates that are team-oriented, compassionate, and strive to ensure their pts get high-quality efficient care.
