Position Summary
To provide leadership and accountability in the strategic and daily operations of the clinical service. The focus of the
position will be the operations of the clinical service. This will include developing and maintaining physician relations,
empowering clinical care giversthrough solicitation of input and implementation of actions to improve delivery of patient
care. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the administrative functions of the clinicalservice.
He/she will supervise the delivery of patient care and has the responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice
for the service. Assure achievement of department, nursing division and hospital goals as well as adherence to hospital
policies and standards set forth by accreditation and regulatory agencies.

Minimum Education Requirements

BSN required; MSN or other Master’s degree required

Minimum Experience Requirements
Four years of leadership/management experience in an acute care hospital
License/Certification
Certification in Specialty or Nurse Executive Preferred (or within 1 year)
Current Colorado RN License
